Luciana Paoluzzi grew up in Rome and was raised with her family. Her father was Manlio Paoluzzi, who was an Italian military officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of Benito's lovers. It is not known if she had having siblings. Luciana has graduated from her local high-school in 1955 and went on to study naval engineering in Milan, at the Scientific Academy of Milan.
